[...] The seat is not very deep. My granddaughter kept sliding off of the seat. Can not sit and push with her feet without sliding off of seat. She enjoyed pushing it around the room.

Comments about American Plastic Toys Rev N Ride:

This car is a good value [...] My two year old does like sitting in the car and tinkering with the engine, but he is not captivated with this toy. He likes to be pushed around in it, but doesn't move much by himself even though he is a very active 2 year old boy. It is nicely made although not durable for a child over 40# or so, but that is fine b/c it is not really big enough for an older child anyway. The only disappointment we had with this car was the amount of time needed to assemble. To start, the individual parts were not loosely packaged in the box. Instead we had to twist each part off of the plastic frame it was manufactured on before being able to organize and assemble onto the car. That was kind of a pain and time consuming. And there are lots of pieces to assemble and instructions to follow. Perhaps that is why this car is offered at a low price point b/c the buyer ends up doing lots of the labor! Hooray for American made!!! Cute looking car that is for sure.

Comments about American Plastic Toys Rev N Ride:

Little Man Ethan, as the subject states, loves his own little car! Since he was a very small baby, one of the first words he learned (besides Granddaddy - yes, I'm very glad to be called Granddaddy now! :)) was car. He says it like a question most times, as he calls anything with wheels a car, and we'll try to teach him the correct name for that gizmo with wheels. And does this little 19 month old love cars - anything with wheels is a car...riding and push lawn mowers, bicycles, trucks, even vacuums - are all cars! The one Ethan received as part of his Christmas was green in color, and looks even sportier than the red pictured. He loves to take it for a spin, and he loves just sitting in it. I guess there is something about sitting in your own car that satisfies us all at any age! He also loves to turn it over and check out the undercarriage, as well as take off the removable nuts and bolts. For just 19 months, Ethan is also very strong, as he picks up the 12 pound car and walks around with it. Ethan also loves to 'push' Granddaddy to the floor and put the car on top of Granddaddy's legs, chest and stomach - anywhere really - and hear Granddaddy cry out in mock (and real!!) pain. Yes, I spoil Ethan, but he is more than worth it; however, when he tries to climb into the car with it on my body, I have to stop him, because I don't want him to get hurt - me, I don't mind a little pain if it makes Ethan happy. ;).Two words of caution though. Ethan is getting quite tall (his Dad is tall), and he is right at 3 foot tall. He was almost too tall for the car when I received it (his knees are very close to the dashboard). That is not ridingtoys.com's fault, but mine. Just remember the recommended age limit is just that, a recommendation. Some will be too old by the recommended age, some too young. Study the dimensions to know what will work best. Also, the assembly could have been a lot easier. I had to cut most parts apart, and some were very thick plastic parts (which is good for durability). But that left many very sharp edges here and there that I had to sand down, as I'm very protective of my Little Man. It also took me over 2 hours to assemble this car, and I've gotten used to assembling many different things; from a convertible crib, activity centers, other riding toys, etc., and this took even longer than the crib. Other than that, American Plastic Toys manufactured a great made in America toy.[...] I assembled it that same day, then took it to Ethan. His smile, and the word I never get tired of hearing, "Car!!" (he was sure this time!), was well worth it! Overall, it is well worth the money [...], so if you want to make a little one happy, buy it. I gave it 4 stars for the difficult assembly and sharp edges I had to sand down. When I upgrade Ethan to the Power Wheels F-150, ridingtoys.com has my business.
